She was predeceased by: her parents, Henderson "Route" McCullough and Lillie Bostic McCullough; her siblings, Willie Henderson McCullough, Magnolia McCullough Tatum, Estelle McCullough Berry, Stella Wade, Annie McCullough Bell, Miles Lee Wade and Homer McCullough; her great grandchildren, Carlos Bell and Mikal Moore; and her child Johnnie B. Bell, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Mary Merchant (late A. G.), Rosie Moore (Calvin), David Lee Bell, Stella Butler (David), Leve Bell, Beulah Bell and Georgia Williams; her close friend Birda Mae Mitchell; and her godchildren, Richard W. Parker, Jr. and Zeita Parker Jones. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
