The artist contributed work to the Uptown Drawdown Auction held by the Kidney Foundation for the past 5 years.

“I knew Mike from grammar school thru the 5th grade. Growing up in Edgewood estates in the '60s was a wonderful experience. We had many friends and would ride bikes and play backyard baseball together. Mike was quiet and reserved. After we moved to Brandon, we lost touch until I went to Hinds Junior College Raymond campus. There, Mike and I ran into each other at the art department and immediately reunited our friendship. Mike and I continued to stay in touch until his passing. He will be missed.”
