We announce the death of Milton Booker in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 72. Milton will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Booker and Ida Booker (Smith); his daughter Ida Alexandria Booker; his siblings, Carrie Booker, Frederick Booker, Linzy Booker, Willie Booker, Bobby Booker, Stony Lee Booker and Billy McGlarn; and his granddaughters, Kiera McJunkins and Madison Booker.
He is survived by: his children, Roshell Booker McJunkins of Clinton, Marlowe Booker of Clinton, Edwin "Money" Buford of Clinton, Renada Gilliom of Clinton, Ka'Myia Gilliom of Clinton, Keilayshia Booker of Jackson, MS, Isabella Brassell of Jackson, MS, Shamilya Booker of Jackson, MS and Charlie Milton Booker of Jackson, MS; and his siblings, Nina Oates of Colorado Springs, CO, Martha Williams, Rita Martin (Victor), Eddie Booker (Bridgett), Jessie Booker (Vett) of Jackson, MS and Dennis Booker. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the L. Hodges Funeral Service (721 Damascus Rd, Oxford, MS 38655). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church (87 Co Rd 321, Oxford, MS 38655). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at the Yocona Cemetery.
