In Memoriam - Remington W. Sumrall
It is with strong emotion that we announce the passing of Remington “Rip” W. Sumrall, found deceased of natural causes on April 18th, 2022 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Born June 26, 1955 to Millard and Peggie Sumrall, he was the oldest of four children.
Growing up in a military family, he traveled with his mother and siblings to many locales around the country, even internationally. Perhaps it is from this he learned to love the outdoors and looking at the stars.
He was the father of three children, two of whom he leaves behind. his daughters Erika and husband Josh Caldwell, and Tainn L. (aka Tai or Vance) Sumrall, as well one grandson and two granddaughters, children of the Caldwells.
Also remaining behind are: His brother Timothy and wife Marion Sumrall, and his sisters Karen and Marcia Sumrall as well as numerous nieces and nephews. grandnieces and grandnephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and his daughter Layla Sumrall (August 17-September 29, 1974).
No service is planned at this time.
