She was predeceased by: her parents, Alec Gelston Smith and Josie Lee Peterson Smith; her husband Columbus McLin, Jr.; her siblings, Lucille McLin (Lloyd, Sr.), Willie Ruth Adams and James "Tony" Otis Smith, Sr.; her son Timothy McLin; her granddaughter Devone "Shevon" McLin; her great grandchild La'Niya Moore; her cousin Ella Mae Peterson McLin (Solomon); and her aunt Sadie Lee Peterson Gipson.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Martin (Alfred) of Jackson, Mississippi, Doretha McLin of Jackson, Mississippi, Shirley Hill of Jackson, Mississippi, Sharon Robinson of Jackson, Mississippi and Kenneth McLin of Houston, Texas; and her siblings, Charles Edward Smith (Melbah) of Brandon, Viola Adams Manning (H. D.) of Las Vegas and Christine Peterson Lindsey (Roosevelt) of Peoria, Illinois.. She is also survived by grandchildren; twenty-nine (29) great grandchildren; three (3) great-great grandchildren.
