He was predeceased by: his grandson Nathan Melton; and his parents, John H. Mills and Janie Mills. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Mills of Jackson; his children, Lisa Melton (Michael) of Madison and Keith Mills of Jackson; his grandsons, Phillip Mills and Austin Melton; and his brother Lawrence "Larry" Mills.
