He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Bell Brown Smith and Stephen Dorous Smith Jr. Willie; his significant other Mary Catherine Langley Smith; and his siblings, Elijah S. Smith, Dewey L. Smith, Elizabeth Bell Morris and Leta Marie Rowley.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie (Tim Wheeler), Ted (Tammy Smith) and Tracy (Chuck Reid). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakewood Funeral Home (6011 Clinton Blvd, Jackson, MS 39209). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
