He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Leslie Alexander and Gussie Walker Alexander; his daughter Joyce Lynn Alexander; and his siblings, Charles Everett Alexander, John Anderson Alexander and Mary Louise Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Allen (Mark), David Alexander (Selena) and Diane Smith (Chris); his grandchildren, Constance Lyles (Dusty), Nicole Reed (Derek), Brandon Alexander (Brittny), Christopher Smith and Dustin Smith; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Alex, Connor, Gunner, Chloe Belle, Lainey, Easton, Sara and Rhett; and his sister Elaine. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
