He is survived by : his sister Sandra Lynn Cox Ferguson (Ray); his daughter Carla Lynn Carney Shumaker (Jason); his grandsons, A. J. Russell and Jace Shumaker; his daughter Krystal Alexander; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Hughes, Abbie Hughes and Alex Hughes; his daughter Danielle White; and his grandchildren, Jaslyn White, Maddie White and Karter White.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Tilton United Methodist Church (663 Hulon Brister Rd, Jayess, MS 39641). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
