She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Lafaye Cothern and Willie Mae Carney Cothern; her daughter Tesa Marie Gaskins; her parents-in-law, Sarah Louise Gaskins and William Joseph Gaskins, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Ann Ray, Ronald Gaskins and Daniel Gaskins.
She is survived by: her husband Terry Alan Gaskins; her children, Lashay Smith and Derrick Rutland; her sisters, Marion Thurman (Jimmy) and Wanda Price (Everette); her grandchildren, Brooklyn Roberts (Chase), Jaden Taylor, Blaze Catoe, Cason Catoe, Easton Smith, Marlee Conley, Chipper Rutland, Braylon Smith, Branson Smith, Bricen Brown, Mayzee Rutland and Drew Thompson; her great grandchildren, Callan Roberts, Bexley Roberts, Baylor Roberts and Camille Roberts; and her nephew Dwight Thurman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sandra's honor to The Mississippi Cancer Institute at 1501 Aston Ave, McComb, MS 39648.
