He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Cuevas and Rachel; his children, Dennis Dan, Jackie Wayne Cuevas, Vernell Cuevas Peterson Hoda and Karen Faye Cuevas; and his siblings, Cleveland Cuevas, Clifton Cuevas, Fred Cuevas, Oliver "Jug" Cuevas, Robert "Rob" Cuevas, Lucien Cuevas, Holliman "Joe" Cuevas, Horton "Hart" Cuevas, Barney Cuevas, Donivan Cuevas, Alphoncene Cuevas Saucier, Lucenia Cuevas, Velena Cuevas, Elsie Cuevas, Elena Cuevas Head, Mandy Lillian Cuevas, Eva Mae Cuevas Necaise and Mattie Mae Cuevas Ladner.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Celester "Boon" Cuevas, Susan Annette Cuevas Necaise and Dorty Joseph "Joey" Necaise. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
