She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie Dewitt and James Harlem Sugg; her son Blanton McGowan, II; her siblings, Ruth Beasley, Jimmie Wooten, James Sugg, Kenneth Sugg and Thomas Sugg; her son Kevin McGowan (Blanton McGowan); and her granddaughter Gabrielle Valdez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Loretta Ford, Betty Parkerson (Keith) and Susie Valdez of French Camp; and her siblings, Estelle Stockley, Annabeth Smith and Charley Sugg of Houston Texas. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
