She was predeceased by : her parents, Johnny Elton and Nettie Belle Pearson Edwards; her siblings, Bill, Jimmy, Bobbie and Betty; and the father of her children Dennis Vowell.
She is survived by : her husband James "Jim" Pinney; her children, Gina Melton (Steve), Devon Vowell (Stephanie) and John Vowell (Jennifer); her sisters, Brenda Edwards and Bonnie Tooley; and her grandchildren, Heather Melton, Blake Melton (Kim), Hannah Reed Melton, Jacob Townsend, Autumn Fulton (Davis), John Zachary Vowell (April) and Jack Readen Vowell (Kenna). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
