She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Irvin Buford and Plummie Crowell Buford (Hal Clark Dean, Sr.); her son James Wayne Dean (Infant); her grandchildren, Jeffery Scott Dean, Thomas Clark Dean and Cindy Johnson; and her siblings, Doyle Buford, Howard Buford, Jane Johnson, Mary Roberts and Margie Atchison.
She is survived by: her children, Hal Dean, Jr. (Mary) of Kosciusko, Tony Ray Dean (Carla) of Florence, Mississippi, Doris Faye Dean Johnson (A. J.) of Kosciusko and Diane Dean "Dinky" Cook (John) of Brandon, Mississippi; her sister Sarah Allbritton of Raymond, Mississippi; and her sister-in-law Shirley Buford of Byram, Mississippi. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.
