James Hughes Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Hughes of Kosciusko, Mississippi, born in Sallis, Mississippi, who passed away on April 27, 2024 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Hughes to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith Hughes and Grace Eleanor Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances McBride; his children, Mike Hughes (Juli) of Ackerman, MS and Sandra Hughes Becker (Brad McLemore) of Madisonville, LA; his grandchildren, Ashley Hartzell (David) of Madisonville, LA, Scott Hughes (Shelley) of Vicksburg, MS and Audrey Becker of Nashville, TN.; and his sister Anne Marie Hughes Porter. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren.

James also gave back through his involvement with the American Cancer Society as the past Treasurer and Vice President for the Attala County Chapter.
