She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Ervin Newsome and Loretta Stelly Newsome; her brother Leo Newsome; and her nephew Sam Spears. She is survived by : her sisters, Frances Garraway (Lane) of Kosciusko and Francine Melton (Matt) of Kosciusko; her niece Brandy Holifield (Andrew) of Kilmichael; her nephew Brandon Spears (Chelsea); and her great-niece Jayden Holifield.
