He was predeceased by: his wife Melba Moss Parks; his son Timothy "Tim" Parks; his parents, George Parks and Florrie Parks; and his siblings, Helen Burden, Eloise Burden and James Parks.
He is survived by: his son Dwayne Parks (Susan); his grandchildren, Kayla Parks and Kyle Parks; and his siblings, Faye Butler (Kenneth), Georgia Mae Cain and Bobby Joe Parks. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
