He is survived by: his wife Rita Pettit; his siblings, Billy Pettit and Ruby Henderson; his children, Dianne Hutchinson (Ronny), Wayne Pettit (Tanda) and Phil Pettit (Lisa); his grandchildren, Tabitha Tate, Ronny Joe Hutchinson, Brooke Aguilar (Jimmy), Glace Rone, Ethan Pettit, Makinzee Evans (Philip), Tyler Pettit and Colby Pettit (Mandy); and his great grandchildren, Eli, Lexi, Ryan Tate, Bryce, Colton, Dylia, Archer Hutchinson, Kamryn, Jack, Gray Aguilar, Ashtyn Pettit, Baidee, Britton Evans, Landon, Braylee Pettit, Caleb, Case and Myla Pettit. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Culpepper Funeral Home (11748 MS-35, Kosciusko, MS 39090). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel (11748 MS-35, Kosciusko, MS 39090). A burial was held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at the Jerusalem Cemetery.
