He was predeceased by : his parents, Theodore Jessie Briggs, Sr. and Cora Lee Henderson Briggs; his sons, Fredrick Briggs, Henry Briggs Jr. "Jack" and Reggie Veasey; and his siblings, James Briggs "Pete" and Anita Wyatt.
He is survived by : his children, Eric S. Briggs (Toya) of Chicago, IL, Darren Veasey of Memphis, TN, Annette Briggs of Chicago, IL and Sharonda Veasey of Memphis, TN; his siblings, Ted Briggs (Carolyn) of Memphis, TN, Victor J. Briggs (Connie) of Lamar, MS, Corine McGowan (Vinson) of Southaven, MS, Marilyn Rankin Polk (William) of Memphis, TN and Brenda Joyce Briggs of Byhalia, MS; his aunt Ida Mae Briggs of Memphis, TN; and his uncle Willie Briggs of Memphis, TN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
