He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Parks and Blanche Parks; his great great grandchild James Woods; and his siblings, Betty McConnell and Donnie Parks.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Sue Parks; his children, Rhonda Brown (Chubby), Sammy Charles Long and Beverly Simmons (Ricky); his grandchildren, Mark Brown (Susan), Tracy Ingram (Scott), Heather Jones (Ben) and Dusty Simmons (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Makayla Casselman, Cody Ingram, Kyle Ingram (Abigail), Chasity Simmons, John Benny Jones, Ty Jones, Carter Simmons, Caitlyn Simmons and Ella Grace Jones; his siblings, Podgy Parks (Vira) and Demp Parks (Carloyn); and his pet Penny. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gateway Church of Lauderdale at P.O. Box 5, Lauderdale, MS 39335.
