He was predeceased by: his children, Richard Kevin Smith and Shannon Elizabeth Smith; his parents, Sim Smith, Sr. and Mary Etta Davis Smith; and his siblings, Sim Smith, Jr. (Helen), Delton "Blackeyes" Smith (Deloris), Robert Buddy Smith, Henry "Shorty" Smith and Mary Hilbun (Daryl).
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Graves Smith; his children, Lee Smith (Tiffany), Wayne Pitts (Sharon), Bryan Pitts (Brenda), Lisa Cochran (Mike) and Tammy Wood (Terrell); his sister Patricia Williamson (Billy); his grandchildren, Corbin McDavitt, Josh Cochran (Vickie), Mason Wood (Haley), Peyton Pitts, Calvin Pitts, Anna Bryce Cochran, Britton "Bree" Smith, Tiffany Parker (Allen) and Emily Potter (Jamie); and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith and Linda Smith. He is also survived by Eight great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
