She was predeceased by: her husband Elson Dykes; her siblings, Anna Lean Brooks, Avis Hinton (C. D.), Dale Brooks (Ruth) and J. D. Brooks (Cora Frances); and her parents, Coyt Brooks and Moddie Brooks.
She is survived by: her sister Martha Marion; her children, Frank Dykes (Angie) and Karen Graves (Jeff); her grandchildren, Braxton Dykes, Parker Dykes, Kent Graves (Brittanie) and Rene Shelby (Brent); and her great grandchildren, Cannon Shelby, Brooklyn Shelby, Bennett Graves and Coyt Graves.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Journey Church (130 Northeast Dr, Laurel, MS 39443). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
