He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron C. Newcomb and Frances Wright Newcomb; his siblings, Charles Dean Newcomb and Joyce Ainsworth; and his brother-in-law Robert Ainsworth.

He is survived by: his children, Michelle Manning (Mark) of Laurel and Bubba Newcomb (Jo Anna) of Soso; his grandchildren, Marissa Dickerson (Slade) of Laurel, Marcus Manning (Jana) of Laurel and Josh Newcomb (Cena) of Soso; and his great grandchild Audrey Kate Dickerson of Laurel.
