He is survived by: his wife Bettye L. Hinton; his children, Greg Hinton (Kristi) and Holli Hinton (Chris); his grandchildren, Ashton McDonnieal (Wesley), Alex Hinton and Mark Hinton; his great grandchild Parker McDonnieal; and his sister-in-law Bettie Sue Hinton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
