He was predeceased by: his wife Voncile Bankston Cheek; his parents, Clarence Earl Cheek and Lottie Brewer Cheek; his sibling's children, Ronald Richards, Lonnie Richards and Nancy Richards; and his sister Phyllis Cheek.
He is survived by: his children, Stacey Cheek Williams (Jonathan Williams) and Michael Earl Cheek (Delta Cantrelle); his brother-in-law Frank Bankston (Ottie Bankston); his grandchildren, Zachary, Madison Cheek, Noah, Emma, Joseph, Olivia and Isabelle Williams; and his great grandchild Elijah Alexander Cheek.
