He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Baum and Georgie Mae Baum; and his siblings, Gene, Ray Baum, Charlotte Horacek and Judy Gurgainers.

He is survived by: his wife Sigrid Baum; his children, Stacy Baum (Leah), Tracy Baum (Brandon), Teresa Rayburn (Michael), Tanya McCraney (Mike), Dexter Landrum (Leslie) and Robin Newell (Chuck); his sister Pamela Ward; his grandchildren, Brittin, James "Shade", Jordan, Jace, Shelby, Chad, Alyssa, Brianna, Will, Karina, Brylie and Bentlie; Athena, Sean "Tank", Nolan Wayne, Evelyn, Brooks, Ayden, Paisleigh, Plummer, Oliver, Hannah Grace, Everly Rae and Keagan.
