He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Mayo and Mittie Mayo; and his siblings, Billie West, Dolease Walters and Gil Mayo.
He is survived by: his wife Sybil Dorough Mayo; his children, Belinda Fultz (Timothy), Kayleen Daughrity (Michael), Latrael Mayo (Wendy) and Dwayne Mayo (Carrie); and his brother Richard Rex Mayo Jr. (Tammie). He is also survived by many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
