It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delma Ray Gatlin (Laurel, Mississippi), who passed away on April 2, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Alicia Carol Gatlin; his former wife Bettye Byrd; his parents, Jordan "JJ" Gatlin and Wilhemena Clark Gatlin; and his siblings, Joe, Edward, Garland, Haskell, Nelson, Jimmie Dale Gatlin and Nell Brownlee.
He is survived by: his children, Delena Williams (Jim), Christie Welborn (Dean) and Casey Gatlin (Victor); his grandchildren, Cody Donald (Kaitlyn), Jennifer Williams, Kayla Hinton (Aaron), Katie Welborn, Andrew Cagle (Haileigh), Maddison Williams, JT Williams, Robert Cagle (Destiny), Chaz Welborn and Opal Welborn; his great grandchildren, Winter Donald, Khade Teal, Karmella Cagle and Sadie Hinton; and his sister Thelma "TJ" Locker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to SCAR (Southern Cross Animal Rescue) or your local animal shelter in his name.
