He is survived by: his wife Monica Bynum Gavin; his daughter Caley Gavin Minter (Cory); his grandchildren, Emma Cotten (Ethan Hilbun), Taylor Minter (Kippy Touchstone) and Kynleigh Minter; his siblings, George D. Gavin (Janice), Larry A. Gavin (Linda), Richard Gavin (Julia) and Dianne Gavin (DP Scarborough); and his great grandchild Rhett Hilbun. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
