It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Douglas Wayne Davis of Laurel, Mississippi, born in Stamps, Arkansas, who passed away on August 23, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Davis and Clarabell Davis. He is survived by: his wife Kai Davis; his children, Cristy McLean (Matt), Jamie McCullough (Chris), Kim Nowell and Joey Davis (Emily); and his siblings, Walter Davis (Debbie), Joe Davis (Andrea), Danny Davis (Janell), Tania Keyes (Dobb), Lynette and Sallie Mello. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“Doug & I go back to 1977 when we drove 18 wheelers cross-country (as a team) for Midwestern Distribution in Ft. Scott, Kansas. We both quit & went to Clay Hyder Trucking in Auburndale, Florida in 1978. We ran Coast-to-Coast & Border-to-Border & were with each other 24/7 365. I got to know Doug & his family & thought of Doug as a younger brother. We lost touch for 42 years & just got back in contact a month ago. I've lost a brother by another mother. Steve (Mobile,Ala.)
