He was predeceased by: his parents, Ezra Smith and Mary Smith; his wife Carolyn Smith; his son Lee Williams; his great grandchild Addison Weekley; his brothers, Byrum Smith and Crawford Smith; and his sister-in-law Gail Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Middleton (Kent) and Georgia Hathaway (Mike); his grandchildren, Shannon Atwood, Brittney Roberts (Tim), Jason Myers (Hope) and Jensen Weekley (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Jason "Boo", Tyler, Cole Atwood, Ethan Myers, Mary Claire, Gracie Roberts, Noah, Adeline and Macie Weekley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A graveside service was held on Monday, May 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mill Creek Cemetery (2319 Mill Creek Rd, Laurel, MS 39443).
