He was predeceased by: his parents, U. D. Hilton and Martha Mullican Hilton; his siblings, Bernice Graves, Eva Mae Sims, Joyce Jensen, Tommy Hilton, A. B. Hilton, U. D. Hilton, Loren Hilton and Bill Hilton; his former wife Joyce V. Hilton; and his sons, Danny Hilton, Doug Hilton and Kyle Hathorn.

He is survived by: his sister Frances Lighty; his wife Iris Hilton; his children, David Hilton (Terri), Dale Hilton (Sandra) and Kyn Hathorn (Noroha); his grandchildren, Leslie Ann Holley (Paul), Timothy Hilton (Christina), Matthew Hilton (Allyson), Philip Hilton (Jackie) and Samuel Hathorn; and his great grandchildren, Maddy Maryanne, Max, Fisher, Vivianne, Finley and Baby Hilton.
