He is survived by: his children, Jamie Lee Thomas of Philadelphia and John Abe Thomas of Philadelphia; his mother Gwen Thomas of Laurel; his sisters, Kay McNiel (Earl) of Houston, TX and Carolyn Dean (David) of Houston, TX; his sister-in-law Judy Mason of Philadelphia; and his siblings' children, Wayne McNiel, Lacey McNiel, Jennifer Dean Aulds (Bryan), Thomas Dean, Allison Dean, Joseph Dean, Yancey Herrington (Reed) and Corby Goforth (Kiley).
