He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Baucom and Merta Baucom; his brother Tommy Baucom; his parents-in-law, Roy and Tressie Jones; his brother Johnny; and his sister-in-law Peggy Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jones Baucom; his children, Greg Baucom (Stacey) of Purvis, MS and Dee Walters (David) of Laurel; his grandchildren, Gracey, Cole Baucom of Purvis, Ashlee Johnson (Landon) of Laurel, Jacob Morgan of Laurel and Kayla Walters of Purvis, MS; his great grandchild Sadie Johnson; his sister-in-law Patsy Stringer of Laurel; and his sister Glenda Todd of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jay's name to the First Baptist Church of Sharon Building Fund.
