She was predeceased by: her parents, Houston Cooley and I. V. Cooley; her husband Carl O. Thompson; her sons, Henry Thompson (Hank), Roger Thompson and Victor Thompson; and her siblings, Opal Everett, Nell Martin, Billie Holloway, Jack Cooley, Olen Cooley and Thomas Cooley.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Thompson of Laurel, MS and Jeff Thompson (Natalie) of Laurel, MS; her grandchildren, Carla Rounsaville of Ellisville, MS, Jarod Thompson (Holly) of Ellisville, MS, Lindsay Letson (Jared) of Clinton, MS, Lauren Thompson of Laurel, MS, Jamie Walters (Hunter) of Gautier, MS, Nick Baucum of Laurel, MS and Claire Hillman (Noah) of Waynesboro, MS; and her sister Shirley Craven (Buddy) of Laurel, MS.. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Memory Chapel Funeral Home (3100 Audubon Dr, Laurel, MS 39440). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
