He was predeceased by: his parents, John Chester Spencer, Sr. and Nannie Watt Spencer; and his siblings, Walter Eugene "Gene" Spencer (Syble), Frances Juanita Jordan, Annie Ruth Ford, Mandy Marie Smith and Patsy Diane Barlow.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Hinton Spencer; his daughter Melissa Spencer Bush (Brandon); his granddaughters, Abbie Thrash Todd (Blake) and Audrey Elise Thrash; his great grandchild Lainey Elise Todd; his sister-in-law Debbie Ewen (Greg); and his friends, Greg and Gloria Geerdes of Iowa. He is also survived by his family grieves the loss of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memory Chapel Funeral Home (3100 Audubon Dr, Laurel, MS 39440). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (35 Trinity Rd, Laurel, MS 39440).
