She was predeceased by : her husband Joe DeKalb Roberts; her parents, D. T. Beard and Vera Beard; and her brothers, D. T. Beard, Jr. and Marvin Beard (Buddy).

She is survived by : her sons, Russell Roberts (Sally) of Hattiesburg, MS and Joey Roberts of Laurel, MS; her granddaughters, Kimberly Moore, Alison Crumpton (Ken) of Hattiesburg, MS and Kelsey Hudson (Cal) of Madison, MS; her niece Betty Beard; and her nephew Johnny Beard (Sherry). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
