He was predeceased by: his parents, Cicero Gaines and Lizzie Bush; his wives, Doris Parker Bush and MaeRee Thompson Bush; his siblings, Margret, Berneice, Maxie, Mazie, Meredith, Conwee and Libby; and his granddaughter Kara Grace Boleware.

He is survived by: his children, Danny Bush (Sarah) and Susan Boleware (Mitch); his grandchildren, Adam Bush (Sandy), Amanda Warnock (Trey), Ashley Wroth (Andrew), Andrew Bush and Kyle Boleware (Caroline); his great grandchildren, Caroline, Elijah, Paul, Daniel Kemp and Violet; and his niece Violet Holifield.
