He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Kenneth and Sara Lois Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Tina Murphy; his children, Dr. Zachary Kenneth Murphy (Trichi), Bryce Camden Murphy, Lauren Scott (Grant) and Katelyn Bryant (Landon); and his grandchildren, Kenneth Clark Murphy, Sara Lillie Murphy, Charlie Guy Bryant and Sadie Kate Scott. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
