He was predeceased by : his parents, Huey Jasper Boyd and Bernice Higginbotham Boyd; his wife Lillie Faye Boyd; his siblings, Jimmy Boyd, Lee Boyd, Larry Boyd, Hazel Cornell, Nelly Ann and Marie Boyd; and his son Steven Ray Boyd.

He is survived by : his brother Jerry Boyd of Tuscaloosa; his daughters, Cynthia Philyaw (Darrell Philyaw) of Laurel and Barbara Mason (JR Mason) of Laurel; his grandchildren, Josh Kirby, Austin Trest (Sarah Stonefield), Hunter Mason (Joshua Watts), Taylor Rogers (Hunter Rogers), Zach Strickland, Tristen Boyd, Deyton Boyd, Kamryn Boyd and Jayden Boyd; and his great grandchildren, Addyson Kirby, River Rogers and Bennett Rogers.
