We bid farewell to Mary Ann Wardell of Laurel, Mississippi, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 27, 2025 at the age of 91. Mary Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Travis Bassett and Bessie Mae Lewis Bassett; her grandson Owen Morgan; and her brother William'Bill'Bassett. She is survived by: her husband James Lavoy Wardell of Laurel, MS; her children, James Wardell, II, Marissa McKinley (Ted) and Gina Anderson (Tom); and her grandchildren, Jason Reddoch (Courtney), Courtney McKinley, Kolton Wardell (Stephanie), Kyra Knight (Alex) and Karson Wardell (Kristen). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (607 W 5th St, Laurel, MS 39440). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
