With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mollie Jane Welborn Blackledge of Laurel, Mississippi, who passed away on December 22, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Clayton "Pete" Blackledge; her parents, Almond Edison Welborn and Ruby Gilbert Welborn; her brother Herman Welborn; and her sister-in-law Martha Doris Welborn.
She is survived by: her children, Joel Blackledge (Shelly) of Gulfport, MS and Jane Brockway (David); her grandchildren, Benjamin Brockway, Mollie Brockway and Joelly Blackledge; and her brother Joe Welborn (Barbara). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Alzheimer's Association, or Southeastern Baptist College.
