He was predeceased by: his daughter Pamela Mann; his parents, Neville Dickerson and Pauline Dickerson; and his brothers, Frank Dickerson and Charles Dickerson.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy "Pat" Rawls Dickerson; and his children, Phil Dickerson (Marsha), Paula Walters (Nick) and Patti Stroo. He is also survived by grandchild, 4- great-great grandchildren.
