He is survived by: his wife Laura Craft Thornton; his children, Sheila Holifield (Ray), Cindy Pineda and Randy Thornton (Jan); his grandchildren, Brian Holifield (Allyson), Tonya Hill, Steven, Stanley Thornton, Summer Brooks, Tyler Pineda (Hali) and Chase Pineda; his great grandchildren, Carley Jones (Wesley), Cambrey Hill, Jackson, Jenna, Jacey Holifield, Alissa, Paisley, Paxton Pineda, Riggs, Rowe Pineda, Mason, Chandler, Cole Thornton, Bryce, Samantha, Dawson Brooks, Lilly, Daisy, Lexi Thornton and Bella Hancock; and his great great grandchild Neiley Jones.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (35 Trinity Rd, Laurel, MS 39440). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
