He was predeceased by: his son James Gregory Stone of Pensacola; his brother James Larry Stone of Laurel; and his brother-in-law Jolly P. McCarty of Pascagoula. He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Stone; his children, Robert M. Stone, Jr. (Carolyn) of Laurel and Alison Stone Moyers (Paul) of Oxford; his daughter-in-law Darlene H. Stone of Pensacola; his grandchildren, Morgan Stone Samuels (Aaron) of Jackson, Stephanie Stone Lott (Clay) of Sumrall, Eric Thomas Stone (Lauren) of Pensacola, Laura Elizabeth Stone of Pensacola, Olivia Rose Ellen Stone of Pensacola, Meredith Ellen Moyers of New York City and Alexander Mathis Moyers of Oxford; his stepgranddaughter Leslie Campbell (Geoffrey) of Canton, GA.; and his nephews, Eric Stone, Alex Moyers, Jeff Blackledge, Andy Stone, Lance McCarty and Landon McCarty. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
