She was predeceased by: her husband James Edward Byrd; her parents, Jimmy Touchstone and Minnie Lee Flynt; her son Larry Shafer; her sisters-in-law, Brenda Jaynes and Bettye Byrd; her brothers, Jim "Little Jim" Touchstone and Tommy Touchstone; and her brothers-in-law, John and Jerry Byrd.
She is survived by: her siblings, George Jaynes and Taunya Macht; her sisters-in-law, Carolyn Byrd, Lynn Byrd and Virginia James; her daughter-in-law Daphne Shafer McCreary; and her granddaughter Khloe Shafer.
