He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. David Rupert Blue and Wilda Lily Rustin of Laurel; his siblings, Jerreld Blue, Doval Blue and Louise Russell (Blue) of Laurel; and his grandson Aaron James Lanari of California.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Blue; his sister Eloise Morgan (Blue) of Laurel; his daughters, Wendi Blue Chaddick (Bryan) of California and Suzanne Blue Buckley (Larry) of California; his stepdaughter Janet McMillan (Charles) of Laurel; his grandchildren, Andrew Lanari of California, Courtney Weis Nicholas Lanari (Andy) of California, Benjamin Lanari of California, Erich, Evan Taylor of Laurel and Chase McMillan of Laurel; and his great grandchildren, Alexandra Weis and Anthony Weis of California. He is also survived by his family and community, He will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.

He was well-respected in his field and made many contributions to the industry.
