She was predeceased by: her husband Charles A. Burns; her son Charles Andrew "Andy" Burns, Jr.; her grandson Benjamin Andrew Lewis; her parents, Frank W. Dyess and Mary Yarber Dyess; and her siblings, Mary Francis Mattar, Margaret Ann Revett, George Hillard Dyess, Heidel Leon Dyess and Lillian Evans.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Gray (Tony), Kathy Dyson (Willie) and Krystal Lewis; and her grandchildren, Zachery Dyson, Corey Dyson (Mary Elizabeth), Casey Dyson (Krista), Hannah Rosemeyer (Sean), Katie Stafford (Chris), Brooklyn Harrell (Preston) and Blake Lewis (Breann). She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
