It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alberto Arriaga of Leland, Mississippi, born in Rolling Fork, Mississippi, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Maria Gutierrez Arriaga and Joe Arriaga; his son Lynn Arriaga; his siblings, Emmanuel Harris, Patsy Coe and Dominga Harris; and his grandson Lynn Arriaga.

He is survived by : his children, Lee Stewart of Colorado, James "JoJo" Arriaga of Leland, Tony Arriaga of Louisiana, Mikey Arriaga of Texas, Robert Arriaga of Texas, Angela Steptoe of Clarksville, Sonya Barnes of Rolling Fork, Carolyn Smith of Illinois and Alberta Cupit of Brookhaven; his sister Flora Cole of Vicksburg; and also Agado. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Burton Funeral Home (634 US-82, Indianola, MS 38751). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
