He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Francis Duthu and Evelyn Coalson Duthu; his stepdaughter Kimberly Andrews Oldham; and his siblings, Cecil Duthu, Francis Durden, Eva Duthu and Willie Mae Dozier.

He is survived by : his wife Mena Toche Duthu of Leland; his daughter Melissa Freeman of Houston, Arkansas; his stepdaughter Kristine Nguyen (Tuan) of Forth Worth, Texas; his brother Jerry Duthu (Charlotte) of Jackson; his siblings-in-law, Margaret Duthu of Belzoni and Gerald Dozier of Toomsuba; and his grandchildren, Olivia Freeman of Houston, Julian Nguyen of Tempe, Veronica Nguyen St. John (Zack) of Farmingdale and Hayley Oldham of Ridgeland.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rolling Fork United Methodist Church (101 N 1st St, Rolling Fork, MS 39159). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
